Web developer Saeed Malekpour sentenced to death in iran

Saeed Malekpour born May 1975 is an Iranian webdesigner. He was sentenced to death in Iran for allegedly designing and moderating pornographic websites. Malekpour developed an Internet photo sharing tool that his supporters assert was used without his knowledge for pornographic purposes. Prior to his arrest in Iran in 2008, Malekpour had been living and working in Canada as a permanent resident. The Canadian government and Amnesty International have called for his immediate release.
In December 2012, Malekpour's lawyer announced that the death sentence had been suspended because Malekpour had repented for his behavior.
Saeed Malekpour sentence was later reduced to life imprisonment.

Neda Agha-Soltan

Footage of the death of Nedā Āghā-Soltān  23 January 1983 – 20 June 2009 drew worldwide attention after she was shot dead during the 2009 Iranian election protests. Āghā-Soltān, a student of philosophy, was participating in the protests (though not politically influenced, but rather supporting the supporters of Mousavi), accompanied by her music teacher and was walking back to her car when she was fatally shot in the chest. The murderer of Neda is disputed; according to CNN, BBC, and Fox News, she was shot by Basij, a paramilitary organization. Her death was captured on video by bystanders and broadcast over the Internet, and the video became a rallying point for the opposition.
Her death became iconic in the struggle of Iranian protesters against the disputed election of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
